About

I'm a software engineer specializing in distributed systems and data pipelines, with close to a decade of experience across creative software, fintech, the gig economy and healthcare.

At Clipboard Health I work on products for home health and hospice caregivers. Before that I spent nearly two years at Uber on the tax and reporting platform that issues earnings statements to millions of earners, led onboarding and platform work at the Indian fintech Slice, and started my career at Adobe on Illustrator and Captivate.

I enjoy design docs, thoughtful code review and raising the bar on testing and observability. I'm a graduate of IIT Delhi.

  1. Senior Software Engineer · Clipboard Health

    – Present

    • Built end-to-end Electronic Visit Verification (clock-in/clock-out) for home health workers across a React/Capacitor mobile app and three NestJS services, enabling geofence-verified visits and unlocking instant pay for caregivers.
    • Led a HIPAA-conscious redesign to keep patient-home coordinates out of non-compliant services, with redaction across the database, event bus and downstream consumers.

  2. Senior Software Engineer · Uber

    • Designed a distributed, Spark-based report-generation pipeline with batched processing for 20M+ earners, improving scalability and cutting per-report runtime and resource usage.
    • Resolved MySQL concurrency and read-after-write issues in a high-volume pipeline, reducing deadlocks and improving end-to-end throughput 3×.
    • Implemented a Kafka-based streaming architecture for issuing earnings statements and a Grafana monitoring dashboard that surfaced missing statements in near real time.
    • Built AI agents with LangGraph and LangChain (chain-of-thought reasoning, RAG) integrated with existing enterprise systems.
    • Authored technical design docs, led 100+ cross-team architecture discussions and drove 1,000+ code-review interactions.

  3. Senior Software Development Engineer (Backend) · Slice

    • Led a team of 5 building a new onboarding platform: funnel conversion rose from 65% to 80%, average onboarding time dropped from 20+ minutes to 7, and new product flows shipped in under a week instead of over a month.
    • Proposed and executed a zero-downtime migration from MongoDB to Postgres.
    • Set up alerting and observability practices for Node, Java and Go services with Grafana and Victoria Metrics, bringing mean recovery time under 5 minutes.
